Paul Baker (Northern Colorado Cutthroats Semi Pro Mens Indoor Soccer)
Jason and Peak Performance helped my team succeed this season. We met once a week and worked out for about 2 hours. His progression in workouts throughout the time we had with him was the key to our success. The Cutthroats made it to Nationals for the first time this year and we would not have made it there if it was not for the time we spent with Jason. I will use some of the workouts and warm-up techniques that he taught us for rest of my life.
Jana Frei, mother to Kayla Frei (U-17 Gold Arsenal Player)
“Peak Performance has been a life saver for our daughter. She initially began the training to help prevent injuries from playing competitive soccer. It has not only helped accomplish that goal, but has also increased her self esteem and, in turn, has given her great confidence in her playing ability. Jason Halsey is a professional in his field of training and has been a great encouragement to our daughter.”
Jayne Wagner, womens soccer Doane College
“As a college athlete, Peak Performance had brought my fitness up a level to be prepared and confident when I was ready to go to preseason. Jason has always offered to help with any questions in and outside of training sessions. My experience had always been a good one, with Jason pushing me to keep going and go that extra mile. After every session, I would always leave with a good workout and a smile on my face.”
Greg Owsley (parent of 2 Arsenal soccer players)
At 46 now, I want to retire from the “young guy” soccer league, however I have to blame Peak Performance for my inability to do so. Working with Jason the past two years hasn’t reversed the aging process but it sure seems like it has neutralized it. I’m playing soccer more injury-free than I ever have in my life.
Kevin Butcher (Arsenal Soccer Player)
Peak Performance offered me an entire new level of playing that I was not aware of. It made me more agile, balanced, and resistant to injury. Being a soccer player, Jason was able to focus in on key aspect of soccer, as well as specialized areas that I felt needed improvement. Though adept at improving soccer players, I have seen Jason work extensively with many other sports, expertly meeting their needs as well as meeting key characteristics of their sports. An important part of getting better at any sport is being able to play it…that is, staying healthy enough to always be playing. Though I struggled through many injuries early on, Jason’s focus on muscle strength, muscle balance, plyometrics, and balance in general, helped me to stay healthy and on the field. I would recommend Jason to anyone without hesitation. He’s the man. He’s extremely easy to get along with. Jason knows what he’s talking about.
Jesse Rogers ( Division I Womens Soccer Denver University)
The majority of college bound athletes will not come across a trainer as experience and knowledable as you (aka my trainers prob 35% of what you do). Not only do you know how to successfully trigger a work out session successfully to improve athletes, you can specify and alter the work out to best meet the needs of whatever sport the athlete is involved in. I also think that the program benefits from your nutritional knowledge.
David Roth:
What I appreciate most about your training is the focus on the athlete as a whole (independent of their individual sports) and the development of fundamental skill sets (agility, core strength, flexibility) and habits (nutrition, stretching) critical to being not only an elite competitor but also to being a healthy one.
Hannah Rogers (womens soccer)
Jason Halsey (Mr. Halsey, just Jason, or or Senior Halsey… whatever you like its your move holy man) is an expert in his field. Iv been training with him for the past four years over the summers in preparation for my soccer seasons and have yet to come in out of shape. Aside from this I have also never been injured during my college career and I owe this to his gruesome training sessions. Yes they are gruesome. Senior Halsey knows how hard to push an athlete and specify the training sessions to what is needed for the athlete. He is also very knowledgeable with food and nutrition for athletes to maintain optimal body strength. Aside from this he is also a very conversational and down to earth human being, though his music taste may be a bit old school. The experience as a whole was very beneficial or worthwhile.
